We'd tried offering different levels of premiums and found ourselves facing the facts: not everyone wants a t-shirt, a bookmark, or even a tote-bag. In the long run it looks like what people really want is to show appreciation,to give back, to help...
And so, we now offer... The Liaden Universe® Trip Jar.
Why a trip jar instead of a tip jar? We like to travel and meet our readers; and we've been doing a bunch of it. Well, over the last ten years we've traveled over 70,000 miles to get to science fiction conventions and related events. We've spent more than 30 weeks away from home, including many a night sleeping in hotels and on AMTRAK trains going to and from.
If you'd like to help us travel, or to just be able to kick back with a day at the beach or a nice pizza-and-sangria Saturday night, here's your chance. Anything you donate to the trip jar comes to us. You'll know you've showed your appreciation -- and so will we.
